Where I come from
I come from a tight-knit family that believes in the power of hard work, learning, and sticking together. Growing up, I was lucky to have my amazing parents, older sister, and younger brother by my side. My parents worked their way up from humble beginnings, and they taught me the value of determination and seizing opportunities.
My dad is the 'brains' of the family because he's always studying and eager to learn something new. My mom is a rockstar who prioritizes our family and our education. She's a true inspiration, working hard to achieve her goals and ensuring we have the chances they didn't.
Their support and influence made me who I am today—a curious and ambitious individual, always hungry to learn and improve. I've inherited their strong work ethic and family values, which guide me in everything I do.
How I got Involved with Art?
Music has been a big part of my life since childhood. With my mom rocking the drums and my dad jamming in a pop rock band with my godfather (his brother), our home was always filled with music. I started with drum lessons, but my love for music grew even further. I taught myself guitar, singing, and even a bit of flute. Every weekend, our family gatherings turned into impromptu music sessions, where we created unforgettable melodies.
Acting and being part of musical productions were initially my dreams. While I took a different path, I ended up having incredible experiences. I worked for a company that brought beloved Disney characters to life, making dreams come true for people of all ages.
During that time, I also took on small gigs in television, which led me to meet exceptional individuals in the industry. One project connected me with a fantastic music video director who saw my potential and became both a friend and mentor. Together, we explored our creativity, writing music and bringing it to life in music videos. Not only did I handle makeup, but I also had the thrill of being an actress, portraying different characters in those captivating visuals.
I owe so much to the wonderful people who have influenced my artistic journey. Their support and contributions have shaped my skills and fueled my passion for continuous growth.
How I came to U.S
I come from Brazil, and as a teenager, my mom started taking me on vacations within the country. However, traveling in Brazil can be expensive, and my mom couldn't cover all the costs. Even as a kid, I was determined to be independent. I learned how to crochet and made belts and cute crafts to sell to our neighbors. I also gathered beautiful flowers and created little bouquets to sell, saving every penny I earned. Luckily, my grandma's neighbors were always supportive and cheered me on.
At 16, I worked part-time as an administrative assistant for my godfather's successful company, which distributed frames and mirrors across Brazil. I saved up money from that job to contribute to our trips. During this time, I realized that if Brazil, with all its diversity and size, was so amazing, what else could I discover outside of it?
Driven by curiosity, I began researching, obtained a visa, and spent a few months in the United States. I arrived with zero English skills and did not know anyone. But fate was on my side, as I met incredible people who helped and supported me. I wanted to explore the world and experience different cultures, and after a few months in the US, I knew that my dreams were bigger than what Brazil could offer.
After visiting my family, I returned to the US as an au pair, living with a host family and improving my English skills. I saved money to pursue a bachelor's degree here, and now I'm about to graduate, doing what I love. I'm excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead.
Feelings and Career Goals
I'm genuinely thrilled to have the chance to learn from industry specialists and nurture my talents while also uncovering new ones. Communication is such a broad field with endless possibilities to explore. I know that truly understanding it will come as I dive into real-world experiences.
One of my goals is to build a network of professionals that rivals, or even surpasses, the one I had back in Brazil. Networking is key, and I'm eager to connect with like-minded individuals who can inspire and collaborate with me on exciting projects.
I'm enthusiastic about seizing every opportunity to grow, contribute my creative ideas, and make a meaningful impact in the world of communication and media.
Curiosity About Me
I have a natural knack for planning and organizing things, but routines tend to feel a bit confining. A fun fact about me is that I love shaking things up by frequently rearranging the furniture in my house—it adds a touch of excitement and keeps the space feeling fresh.
Now, here's a fun fact—I'm a notorious overthinker. Ever since I was a kid, my dad would playfully tease me, saying that my lips couldn't keep up with my lightning-fast thoughts. While I used to see this quality as a disadvantage, I've learned to embrace it and channel it into productive energy. It fuels my creativity and problem-solving skills, making me a force to be reckoned with.
Challenging myself is something I genuinely enjoy, and I take great pride in my disciplined approach to achieving my goals. In fact, you'll often find me hitting the gym at the early hour of 4:30 am—starting my day with a boost of energy. And let me confess, Nutella and Orange Fanta are my ultimate weakness—those little indulgences I can't resist!
